Where I Ate in Dubai: Five Dining

We went to Five Dining in Jumeira Rotana a couple of weeks back to try out their Friday brunch. I must say that it’s probably the most sober atmosphere of a Friday brunch that I’ve ever been to here in Dubai. It’s more geared to families or friends who are simply after enjoying the company of people without having the need to get drunk to do so. I can tell from the faces of my friends that they were quite disappointed of the venue, I loved it though. LOL. I think I was the only one who enjoyed the brunch that day.

Why? Well for starters, there were no drunk people around me. Everybody seem to be normal and are after a normal and adult way of having a good time. Second, they’ve got dimsums on their buffet! I’m not sure about you but I haven’t seen any buffet with dimsums on offer, until Five Dining.

Of course I filled my plate with seafood mostly. Actually, I ate ONLY seafood and dimsums. I don’t even know what else they have in the meat section of their buffet. Sushis and makis were also on offer but as I’ve said, I was focused more on seafood.

Don’t be fooled by how few I’ve put on that plate, that was just my starters. I think I’ve refilled my plate 6 times the whole time I was there. The oysters were the last to be eaten, save the best for last as they say.

Will I ever go back? Oh yes! For AED169 per person with unlimited alcoholic beverage, buffet and also a pool access – I think this is one of the cheapest and most reasonable Friday brunches I’ve ever had here in Dubai.
